I got the best two weeks of my summer!
The Harvard / MIT Case Competition is a unique opportunity to analyze a real-life problem and learn along with peers from the Harvard and MIT communities. It was the single most valuable event I participated in to prepare for a career in consulting!
The event was excellent, engaging, and practical. The case was well framed and the mentorship process was well organized and prepared. The process is beneficial for anyone with an interest in consulting as well as for people of all experience levels.
Participating in the Case Competition was a fantastic experience for our bank! We so greatly appreciated the level of thought, detail, and passion that the participants brought to the competition. Their energy helped us to think about our business challenge in new ways and their solutions are something that we can use to move our business forward. We were very impressed by the level of dedication and data-driven analyses that were presented to us. We would definitely recommend the Harvard / MIT Case Competition to other organizations and look forward to the future implementation of the solutions that the participants provided.
Cloudsourced Accounting benefited greatly from the Harvard / MIT Case Competition. We posed questions to the teams on several initiatives we were considering and received valuable recommendations. The teams analyzed our options and gave us data-driven feedback on how to proceed in order to achieve our growth goals. Additionally, some teams impressed us with some creative input and ideas on new initiatives that we have successfully implemented over the past year.
The finalist teams demonstrated full immersion into our business model, resources and industry climate and, using their diverse backgrounds, provided various functional recommendations as to next steps we could take with respect to key strategic objects we had presented. This was a great opportunity for our company to get involved in a fun and competitive Case Competition and I would fully recommend this program, and the value it created, to other companies considering the program in future years.
Participating in the Harvard / MIT Case Competition was a great experience for RelayRides. As a recently launched startup, we’re running a million miles a minute and so it’s hard to find the time and objectivity to pull back and tackle some of the biggest strategic questions facing us. The students from the competition helped us frame one of our most important pressing issues, how to expand, and we will certainly use their insightful recommendations as we make these upcoming critical decisions.
